DECLUTTERING AND ORGANIZING YOUR HOUSE
1. Steps to start decluttering and organizing your house
Identify the room(s) that need decluttering help and prioritize. If the stuff in your garage has taken over your parking spot for the winter, start there. If you need a guest room for guests instead of storage, start there.
2. Separate items into four decluttering categories:
Essential: These items are used in your daily life.
Seasonal: These items are seasonal in nature and could be stored and accessed only when needed.
Sentimental: These items are not used on a daily basis, but they are something you want to keep.
Un-used: You no longer use these items or use them rarely. They do not have any sentimental value.
3. Identify the best home storage organization options above and get rid of un-used items.
Essential items need to be readily accessible.
Seasonal items can be boxed and stored on-site or with A.C.White for access during specific seasons.
Sentimental items can be boxed and stored with A.C.White.
Un-used items can be donated, recycled or thrown away. |
